Translating and interpreting services
Translation
service
Allerdale Borough Council uses the language line service for
translation and interpretation services. This service enables
customers to communicate with council departments and receive
information about council services in their preferred language.
Translation can be done verbally either over the telephone
or face to face at the customer service centre and public council
offices. We can also provide written and emailed
communications in other languages as required.
Our website can be translated automatically into eleven other
languages. For more information and to view the website in another
language, please see the
translations page.
Alternative formats
We can provide translated, large print and audio CD versions of
our printed information in most cases. Please contact customer services or the relevant council
department to request information in alternative formats. There is
also an alternative formats link at the bottom of each page on this
website which enables you to send a request online.
