Business Link Northwest

Business Link (external link) services in Allerdale  are perhaps more suited to businesses that are already up and running and are looking for the assistance they need to grow and compete successfully. However, if you are thinking of setting up your own business, Business Link have experienced advisors who can give you support and point you in the right direction.

West Cumbria Development Agency

West Cumbria Development Agency (WCDA) (external link) was established in 1988 to encourage economic development in the boroughs of Allerdale and Copeland. The particular aim of the agency is to promote business development in the area by working with companies thinking of moving to the area, supporting existing businesses and helping new businesses to get started.

University of Cumbria

The new University of Cumbria (external link) is offering business support services to enterprises and individuals in Allerdale, some of which are receiving final support from Allerdale Borough Council. Ways into Successful Enterprise

Enterprise Coaching is a service for those with the interest and potential to develop a career in enterprise, be it through self-employment or starting a small business, or to consider other options including volunteering or training.
