Business Link Northwest
Business Link services
in Allerdale are perhaps more suited to businesses that
are already up and running and are looking for the assistance they
need to grow and compete successfully. However, if you are thinking
of setting up your own business, Business Link have experienced
advisors who can give you support and point you in the right
direction.
InBiz
INBIZ helps
both individual and group enterprises with business ideas,
developing the skills they need to run a business and give them a
helping hand into trading environment. They also offer advice,
support and guidance to other agencies involved within the
enterprise field.
West Cumbria Development Agency
West Cumbria Development Agency
(WCDA) was established in 1988 to encourage economic
development in the boroughs of Allerdale and Copeland. The
particular aim of the agency is to promote business development in
the area by working with companies thinking of moving to the area,
supporting existing businesses and helping new businesses to get
started.
University of Cumbria
The new University of Cumbria is
offering business support services to enterprises and individuals
in Allerdale, some of which are receiving final support from
allerdale Borough Council. A comprehensive list of these services

Environmental Guidance for Businesses
Free environmental guidance for small businesses can be found at
Netregs, a partnership between
the Environment Agency in England and Wales, the Scottish
Environment Protection Agency and the Environment and Heritage
Service in Northern Ireland.
