Doing business with us

HandshakeWelcome to the Allerdale Borough Council pages on how to do business with the Council.

We spend approximately £17 million each year with external companies providing a range of commercial opportunities.

We buy goods, works and services from a wide range of suppliers and service providers and award contracts to those organisations that can meet the Council's requirements. Contracts can range from small, one-off purchases up to multi-million pound service contracts lasting several years.

The Doing Business with the Council guide, available to download below, has been produced to explain how to go about trading with Allerdale Borough Council.  It is intended to enable you to feel confident in approaching the Council and maximise your opportunity to gain Council business.

There is a great deal of competition for the Council's contracts and this guide cannot assure individual businesses of success. However, it should provide sufficient information to allow businesses to present their products or services in compliance with our purchasing processe.
