The councils across Cumbria have been working
together to introduce an online business portal called
The Chest. This system is a
single point of contact for the councils in the North West to
advertise contract opportunities.
The system, created with funding from the
North West Improvement and Efficiency Partnership, brings buyers
and suppliers together and allows registered suppliers to
receive automatic notification of tender opportunities relevant to
their business sector. It is completely free to all suppliers
and available 24/7.
