Allerdale Borough Council administers the Allerdale Business
Initiative for which your business may qualify.
The Allerdale Business Initiative is a
discretionary award for small and starter businesses. Financial
assistance is available for most types of businesses, however,
funding is not available for retail outlets, vehicles,
computer hardware and consumable goods.
The Allerdale Business Initiative is there
to help you at any stage of your business life, whether you are
already trading and need to expand, or whether you have an idea for
a product or service and would like to talk it over.
The fund is limited and generally awards are
made up to a maximum of £1,000. However, slightly higher
grants may be available at the discretion of the Council. Please
