Cumbria Safety Strategy
West Cumbria Crime and Disorder Reduction Partnership has
developed a Drugs, Crime and Disorder Strategy for 2005-2008.
In doing so the partnership has complied with it's statutory duties
under the Crime and Disorder Act 1998 (later amended by the Police
Reform Act 2002).
The strategy will respond to key local community safety
priorities. These priorities were identified through an audit
of crime, disorder and substance misuse, and consultation with
residents and partner organisations, who live and work in West
Cumbria.
