Ask family and friends or local shopkeepers if they have suffered criminal damage or know someone who has.

Interview them and then try and count the number of losers and the total cost of the damage.

Have fun over the Summer by joining in with activities programmes.

Does someone or a shop sell alcohol to under 18s? Tell your local police officer or police community safety officer (PCSO) and / or contact the central Cumbria Police number on 0845 3300247 or Trading Standards on 01900 325980

Any 14 or 15 year olds young people interested in helping with test purchasing can also contact the Trading Standards number; by helping out you may even help save someone’s life as young people have also been run over as a result of being drunk after being sold alcohol from an off licence.

Trading Standards have also asked to mention that if you need help and advice over any goods or services which you have bought then you can contact Consumer Direct on 0845 54 04 05 06 or via their website www.consumerdirect.gov.uk.

Look at the CDRP Awards information and let us know who you think should get an award. There are awards for young people.

Go for a walk in your area regularly and look out for rubbish or fly-tipping which someone might set on fire – ring the Central Fire Service number on 01900 822503, they can arrange for it to be removed. False reports will be get you into trouble.

Use the online forms on the website to report any damage in your local area, if we all work together to make the place look good, people will feel safer and it will be easier to create and maintain jobs locally.

Tell us what you think about the local parks.

Encourage your friends not to drink under age and to drink responsibly if they are over 18. Encourage them to go home / go home with them, if you think they be putting themselves in danger or may commit a crime.

Identify somewhere or something locally that you think could be improved and talk to your local councillor about it – give them your ideas. Its your area and your future.

People want to improve the opportunities available for young people outside school, particularly for the over 14's, including the links you would like to make with adults. They need your thoughts about what may be interesting and how you can help work with them to make it happen. Talk to any youth workers in your area or your police officers or PCSOs. What skills do you want to build on, what experience do you want to gain.
