Allerdale manage 8 cemeteries and 12 closed churchyards throughout the borough.

The bereavement services office is based at The Customer Service Centre, Town Hall, Workington. From here the council's eight cemeteries are administered and any public enquiries answered.

The council has achieved the Charter for the Bereaved and is a member of the ABA (Association of Burial Authorities).  The bereavement staff are members of the ICCM (Institute of Cemetery and Crematorium Management).

It is our intention to provide an excellent standard of care and consideration.
