What did the Council do for you in 2009-10?
You said, we did...
Allerdale Borough Council's Corporate Improvement Plan is our
strategy, giving clear direction about how we will deliver services
that meet local priorities and help make Allerdale a great place to
live, work and visit. Some of these services we are obliged to
deliver by law and others we choose to provide in order to deliver
our priorities.
The Council has six strategic priorities which
are designed around the customer and are based on feedback from
people living locally on issues that affect them. We said we would
deliver these priorities over 2008-11, so what did we do in
2009-10 to deliver them?
 |
Economy To regenerate the area to
create sustainable economic growth by supporting economic activity
and tackling worklessness. |
 |
Environment To create a high
quality local environmental quality by ensuring the delivery of
efficient and responsive services. |
 |
Healthy and
safe To improve the health, well being and safety
of all of our citizens. |
 |
Housing To improve the quality of
housing; create a balanced housing market, addressing the supply of
affordable and social rented accommodation; and reduce
homelessness. |
 |
Inclusive
communities To understand and respond to the
diverse needs of the communities who live in, work in and visit
Allerdale. |
|
Service access and
delivery To engage better with customers and
provide high quality, accessible and efficient services which meet
their needs. |
