Bank Holiday arrangements in Allerdale

27 April 2016

Allerdale residents are reminded that bin collections will be one day later than usual next week following the Bank Holiday Monday 2 May. All Council offices will close on Friday 29 April at 4.30pm, and will reopen at 9am on Tuesday 3 May.

To check the date of your next bin collection, visit www.allerdale.gov.uk/bincollections . Residents can also report a missed collection and stay informed of anything that could affect collections.

Customers can also access many other Council services online - 24 hours a day, seven days a week - including bill payments, reporting issues such as fly tipping or dog fouling, or viewing planning applications. Visit http://www.allerdale.gov.uk/  for details.

It is also possible to sign up for paperless billing and manage all council tax payments electronically via the Council’s online service. Visit www.allerdale.gov.uk/ctaxonlinefor more information and to register.

The Council’s leisure facilities in Workington, Cockermouth, Maryport and Keswick are open throughout the Bank Holiday period. Further details are available on the GLL website, http://www.better.org.uk/areas/allerdale .

Workington is also the venue on Saturday 30 April for Cumbria’s newest music festival, Reboot. Tickets cost £17 for the day and can be booked in advance at: www.cnevents.co.uk/?tribe_events=reboot-tribute-festival  . All children under ten can go for free!

In case of emergency, call the Council’s out of hours service on 01900 702702.
