Opening arrangements of Council facilities over the weekend of 19-20 December

Friday, 18 December 2015

Allerdale Borough Council’s customer service advisors shall be available on Saturday 19 December from 10am to 4pm to give advice and assistance to those affected by the flooding. Residents and businesses can call to get advice on grants that are available to them, order waste collections, receive benefit and council tax advice, and make any other flood-related enquiry.

Customers should ring 01900 702 600 for all enquiries.

The flood relief and information centres in Keswick (Moot Hall) and Cockermouth (Wakefield Road car park) will not be manned by Allerdale Borough Council staff over the weekend. However, volunteers from the Rotary will be available at the centre at Wakefield Road in Cockermouth on Saturday morning from 9am-10am and on Sunday morning from 10am-11am, to distribute food and other items to those affected by the flooding. This centre also now has free flood sacks to help people defend their properties against any future flooding.

Allerdale Borough Council staff shall be available next week to give advice to those affected by the floods at the Moot Hall in Keswick and Wakefield Road car park in Cockermouth from 9am on Monday 21 December.

In an emergency customers can also ring 01900 702 702 out of hours if they wish to contact the Council.

Customers can email to request services. People affected by the floods can also find advice and information on the Council’s website at: .
