Allerdale Borough Council Easter arrangements

Allerdale Borough Council is reminding residents that bin collections over the Easter period will be carried out one day later than normal.

Bins due to be collected on Good Friday will be collected as usual. However, with effect from Easter Monday 21st April, bins will be collected one day later during that week. Collections will be back to normal from the following week, commencing Monday 28th April.

More information is available by visiting www.allerdale.gov.uk/bincollections where residents can check bin collection dates, report a missed collection, and check for anything that could affect collections.

All household waste recycling centres run by Cumbria County Council will be open over the Easter period as follows:

Workington – open daily from 8am-6pm

Maryport – open daily from 8am-6pm

Wigton – open Tues, Thurs, Sat and Sunday from 8am-6pm

Office opening dates/times:

All Council offices (including Allerdale House in Workington and all Customer Service Centres in Cockermouth, Keswick, Maryport and Wigton) will close at 5:15pm on Thursday 17th April and reopen again at 9am* on Tuesday 22nd April. (*Allerdale House opens at 8.45am). The emergency out-of-hours number while offices are closed is 01900 871080.
