Free health checks for dogs.

Allerdale Borough Council is working in partnership with the PDSA to promote responsible pet ownership in the community.

A number of events have been arranged in the week commencing 29 July 2013 in Silloth, Maryport and Workington. The PDSA will offer free health checks, nail clipping and general pet welfare advice for dogs and Allerdale Borough Council employees will be offering free microchipping.

The events will take place between 9am and 4pm at:

30 July - The Discovery Centre car park, Lidell Street, Silloth

31 July - Maryport Child and Family Centre, Ennerdale Road, Maryport

1 August - The Oval Centre car park, Salterbeck Drive, Workington

2 August - Brow Top car park, New Bridge Road, Workington

Street Scene officer, Helen Graham said: “We are happy that last year’s event was so successful that the PDSA wanted to come back to Allerdale to offer more free dog health checks. This is great news for us as we are always trying to encourage responsible dog ownership.”
