Leisure
If you’re having trouble sticking to your plan for a healthy
lifestyle in 2009 then maybe Allerdale Borough Council can help
you.
The Council has three leisure centres around
the borough which offer a wide range of activities for people of
all ages – making it fun to keep fit.
Thanks to a partnership between the Council
and the centre operators Carlisle Leisure Limited, all of
Allerdale’s leisure facilities have seen vast improvements
including new reception areas, improved changing facilities, more
and better health and fitness facilities, and a larger variety of
opportunities for people to participate.
Usage of all three facilities has increased
year on year and the response by local people to the improved
buildings has been very positive.
More than £1.6 million has been invested
through the leisure partnership between Allerdale Borough Council
and Carlisle Leisure Limited.
The partnership is also working well with key
local players such as the Primary Care Trust, On the Move and other
partners to look at initiatives to improve people’s lifestyles.
So don’t give up on staying in shape – find
out how Allerdale Borough Council’s leisure centres can work out
for you.
