The result of the EU Referendum for the Allerdale Voting Area:

The result of the EU referendum for the Allerdale Voting Area held on 23 June 2016 was as follows:

The number of votes to remain a member of the European Union was: 22,429 (41%)

The number of votes to leave the European Union was: 31,809 (59%)

The number of rejected papers: 30

Total number of votes cast: 54,268 out of an electorate of 74,426

Percentage turnout was: 72.9%
