Data Quality
The council recognises the importance of reliable information to
the delivery of excellent customer services.
Consistent, high quality, timely and comprehensive information
is vital to support good decision-making and improved service
outcomes. Allerdale Borough Council recognises the importance of
reliable information to assist with the delivery of excellent
customer services and achieving the Council’s vision of making
Allerdale a great place to live, work and visit.
To ensure that we meet what is required of us we have developed
a Data Quality Policy and Strategy. We have identified
areas where we will need to improve and this will be done
through the Data Quality Strategy and monitored through the
Council's performance management system. All council staff and
Members are required to adhere to the Data Quality documents. The
original Policy and Strategy were fully authorised by the Council's
Corporate Management Team and approved by the Executive
on 3 December 2008. These documents have been reviewed in 2010 to
ensure they are up to date and reflect
the appropriate issues which the Council aims to improve in
the future.
