During the week commencing Monday 22nd December, refuse, paper and purple bag collections will take place as normal on Monday 22nd, Tuesday 23rd, and Wednesday 24th December (Christmas Eve). All other collections due this week will be two days later than normal. For week commencing Monday 29th December, collections will be picked up as normal on Monday, Tuesday 30th, and Wednesday 31st December (New Year’s Eve); then for the rest of the week will be one day later than normal. For example, collections due on New Year’s Day will take place on Friday 2nd January 2015 and Friday collections will take place on Saturday 3rd January 2015.

In response to both public demand and a warmer summer and autumn, Allerdale Borough Council arranged for extra garden waste collections in January 2015. There will be no collection in February and normal collections will resume from March 2015.
