Food Safety, Health and Safety Environmental Health Officer Full Time 37 hours per week Salary £27,123 - £30,178 Situated on the West coast of Cumbria, Allerdale Borough Council covers a number of coastal towns including Silloth and Allonby in the West to the tourist areas of Cockermouth, Loweswater and Keswick which lies within the Lake District National Park. The area offers excellent amenities and outdoor pursuits. With a sound knowledge of Food Safety and Health and Safety legislation and experience in enforcement, you will be joining an enthusiastic and committed team. The Housing and Health Service covers the full range of environmental health work and officers are actively encouraged to participate in health initiatives and given the opportunity to gain experience in all aspects of the service. An excellent communicator with sound time management skills and the ability to adapt to change are essential. You will need a BSc/Diploma in Environmental Health and EHORB Certificate of Registration (or equivalent). However, if you are looking to qualify this year please still apply. Estates Surveyor

Scale ES2015 £27123 - £30178
Allerdale Borough Council is looking for a qualified Estates Surveyor to work alongside the Estate Manager providing a Valuation and Estate Management Service to the Council as part of the Estates Team. An essential requirement for this job is to hold a degree (or equivalent) and to be a member of the RICS. Some of the duties that you are expected to do include providing valuation advice in accordance with RICS and CIPFA guidelines, property management including rent reviews and lease renewals and negotiations form disposals and acquisitions. You will also be expected to provide property advice to senior officers, members and other council services where required.
