26/07/2011 - Have your say on affordable housing in Workington
Allerdale Borough Council is encouraging Workington residents to have their say in developing plans to address the shortage of affordable housing for local people.
The Council is in the process of posting out surveys to Workington households and collating detailed information about the needs of people who live in Workington.
Carni McCarron-Holmes, Allerdale Borough Council’s Executive member with responsibility for housing, said: “The survey is being sent to a percentage of households in the town with the aim of producing an accurate figure for affordable housing need. The information will help us to shape future housing and planning policies in the town and I would encourage everyone who receives a form to complete it and return it to us.”
Returned surveys are confidential.
