Built in quality awards, High Blaithwaite FarmDisability Discrimination Act 1995

Retailers, cafés, leisure departments, cinemas, health services and banks are just some of the service providers who use local authority planning and building standards services.

Since October 2004 the Disability Discrimination Act (DDA) places a legal duty on all those who provide services to the public to make reasonable adjustments to the physical environment of their premises to ensure that disabled people can access their goods, services and facilities. They need timely, accurate and authoritative advice and information to help them meet these duties.

At the Disability Rights Commission website you will find further information that will outline what you need to know about making changes to your premises.
