Game Licences
As of 1 August 2007 in England and Wales, new game licensing
regulations came into force. These regulations remove the
requirement for game dealers to be licensed to sell game. This
two-part licence was previously obtained from the local authority
and the post office.
It is important that all game dealers and retailers source game
and venison from reputable sources. Legal protection to relevant
animals in the close season still applies.
