Early rain, sleet and snow will clear away eastwards during the morning leaving a mixture of sunny intervals and scattered showers in its wake, the showers becoming heavy in places. Maximum temperature 9 deg C (48 deg F).

Sunny intervals and scattered showers on Friday and Saturday, and windy at times. Sunday, dry and bright for most of the time, although rain will spread into Cumbria later.
