Strategic Flood Risk Assessment (SFRA)
In accordance with Planning Policy Statement 25: Development and
Flood Risk (PPS25), the Council has commissioned JBA Consulting to
produce a Strategic Flood Risk Assessment of the borough. This
document will give a strategic overview of those parts of Allerdale
which are of greatest risk from flooding, thus informing the
production of the Local Development Framework when it comes to
allocating land for particular uses. Please note that this is a
strategic assessment of flood risk - detailed risk
assessments may still be required for individual sites.
