Interim Housing Policy
In response to the Regional Spatial Strategy and the emerging
Cumbria and Lake District Structure Plan 2001-2016, the Council
prepared an Interim Housing Policy with a view to adopting it
as a Supplementary Planning Document. A period of consultation took
between Friday the 10th of December 2004 and Friday the
21st of January 2005. A total of 17 responses
were received.
The Council has considered the representations and has made
modifications to the policy. The Interim Housing Policy was adopted
as a Supplementary Planning Document by the Council on the
27th of July 2005.
The Interim Housing Policy was reviewed in summer 2006
and the decision was made to keep it in place until the new Local
Development Framework is in a position to take
over.
