Supplementary Planning Documents
Supplementary Planning Documents are designed to provide
greater detail on specific allocations and
planning policies. While they can expand upon
existing policies, they cannot be used to allocate land and
cannot create new policy.
Supplementary Planning Documents are non-statutory and are not
subject to independent inspection, they will, however, be required
to undergo rigorous procedures of community involvement. A list of
SPDs that the Council intends to produce, including links to
the webpage dealing with each document, has been included
below.
