Our main recycling centres across the borough are listed below. Throughout Allerdale there are also mini recycling centres, usually to be found at village halls, open public spaces or even the local pub! You can search for recycling locations near to you.

Water Street Car Park Recycling Site

Due to planned work on the Market Hall, Wigton market will be held on Water Street Car Park for the next 10 months starting from 19 May 2009.

The recycling site will remain open for the public to use. Please note however that it will not be possible to drive directly up to the recycling banks on Tuesdays, when the car park is being used by the open market. The recycle banks will still be accessible by pedestrians at this time and recyclables will have to be taken to the site on foot.

We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause. Please remember there is another main recycling point at the household waste recycling centre on Syke Road in Wigton.
