Allerdale Borough Council provides litter bins across the borough. These vary in size depending on the local needs and situation.

Bins are for the use of the general public to dispose of litter. They are not to be used for the disposal of household refuse etc. The bins are also provided to allow dog walkers to dispose of used poop scoops. Allerdale Borough Council is phasing out the specific red dog bins in favour of providing more litter bins.
