Cold at first with some frost and a few mist and fog patches. Most parts of the Northwest will have a sunny morning before cloud spreads from the north into Cumbria and Lancashire this afternoon, then further south by evening. Maximum temperature 9 deg C

Tonight

Most parts will be cloudy this evening, and rain will affect most places at some point. Some places become dry from midnight but with outbreaks of rain continuing elsewhere. Minimum temperature 0 deg C (32 deg F).

Tomorrow

Outbreaks of rain continue through Friday, but it becomes drier and brighter by the end of the day, with some sunshine in the late afternoon. Maximum temperature 9 deg C (48 deg F).

Outlook for Saturday to Monday:

Remaining unsettled throughout with some dry and sunny periods but also further showers or outbreaks of rain. Some risk of frost patches forming overnight. Becoming rather windy on Monday.
