Greenhouse Gas Emissions Reports
How much CO2e does Allerdale Borough Council
emit?
All local authorities are required to report their greenhouse
gas emissions to government. Up to 2009 this was done by
submitting the NI188 spreadsheet to DEFRA. The 2008/9
results can be found on the DEFRA web site.

In 2010 the coalition government gave new guidance
to local government to report in the same format as the
private sector and using the same guidance. The 2009/10 report
was produced using the guidance in the DEFRA document 'Guidance on
how to measure greenhouse gas emissions' which can be found on the
web link below.
