CampaignsThe big tidy up

There are various ways that you can join in and help tackle environmental crime and take pride in your area.

The Keep Britain Tidy Group runs the following campaigns:
  • The Big Tidy Up - Litter is a big problem but we can all do something about it to help keep England clean and tidy. Keep Britain Tidy’s campaign is set to get the entire country cleaning up so order your free clean-up kit now and get tidying!
  • The Dog Poo Fairy - To tackle this problem, Keep Britain Tidy has launched a national dog fouling campaign to encourage irresponsible dog owners to clean up after their pets. The campaign features eye-catching creative of a ‘dog poo fairy’ and the message ‘There’s no such thing as the Dog Poo Fairy’, and is displayed on bus stops, billboards and phone boxes across England.
  • Love where you live is a new Keep Britain Tidy campaign with the aim of inspiring everyone to think about their communities and take action to reduce litter in the locations where they live, the places they visit and the spaces that they use. It’s about everyone taking responsibility – individuals, local authorities, government and multi-national companies to change the way people think and act about littering.
  • Eco-Schools is an international award programme that guides schools on their sustainable journey, providing a simple framework to help make sustainability an integral part of school life. Eco-Schools can help enhance the curriculum and get the whole school united behind something important. The Eco-Schools programme focusses on nine topics including school grounds, litter and waste.
  • The Big Scoop - the UK’s largest dog welfare charity Dogs Trust teamed up with Keep Britain Tidy to launch the first-ever The Big Scoop on June 14th 2013. The Big Scoop is an opportunity to remind every dog owner that they need to ‘Bag it and bin it’.
