Environmental Wardens

Allerdale Borough Council currently employ 2 Environmental Wardens. The role of the Environmental Warden is divided into two:

  • Dog Warden duties, dealing with issues such as stray dogs, the enforcement of dog bylaws, noise and smell nuisance caused by dogs, dog fouling etc.
  • Litter Warden duties, dealing with issues such as litter offenders, the investigation of fly tipping, the storage of domestic and commercial waste so that it does not cause a nuisance and education which is targeted at Key Stages 1 and 2. We also enforce all relevant legislation regarding the above.
