Outbreaks of rain continuing on high ground, with low cloud and hill fog widespread from Lancashire northwards. Some sunshine likely in southern areas, leading to potentially exceptionally mild temperatures here. Maximum temperature 16 deg C (61 deg F).

Outlook for Friday to Sunday:

Some rain at first on Friday, clearing southwards to brighter, colder conditions. Mostly dry on Saturday, but becoming cloudier, with a little rain possible on Sunday. Winds easing.
