SHMA Consultation
As a requirement of national Government
planning advice contained in PPS3 – Housing, Allerdale Borough
Council has worked in partnership with the other five districts and
Cumbria County Council to produce Strategic Housing Market
Assessments (SHMAs) for each of the four housing market areas in
Allerdale. The SHMAs will act as a crucial evidence base to
support the future delivery of housing and economic development as
part of a forthcoming Local Development Framework.
Each SHMA brings together evidence on
demographics, economic policy and housing market conditions
to give a detailed profile of residents and their future housing
needs.
