Housing Market Assessment
A housing
market assessment establishes if there is a proven need for
affordable housing in a parish. It is important as it assists
providers to identify areas with the greatest housing needs so that
scarce financial resources can be put to best use and so that new
developments meet the need of the community.
Parish housing market assessments
are produced following a parish housing needs survey. The
assessment uses evidence from the survey and information from
secondary sources, such as housing associations and estate agents,
to give a snapshot of the parish housing market.
