You will have knowledge of current and proposed legislation on health and safety, good organisational abilities and ability to work under pressure on sensitive issues. You will provide advice to managers and all employees, assisting managers in establishing policies and procedures on health & safety, auditing and monitoring the Council’s health & safety performance, carry out training and assist in the investigation of complaints and incidents. You will carry out inspections and audits and submit written reports. You must have the IOSH Certificate, IOSH Diploma (or be working towards it) or other equivalent qualifications.
