Dance
Allerdale and Copeland Borough Councils have appointed a Youth
Dance Worker as part of the Community Sports Coach scheme, to
work across both boroughs.
Emma Rowbotham came into post in October 2006 and is working in
schools to support classroom teachers in their delivery of National
Curriculum dance, running after school clubs and leading new youth
dance activity across the West Coast. Emma’s role is to set
up dance opportunities in the community to develop and nurture
young people who have an interest in and aptitude for dance.
Her programme of work is co-ordinated by Lynn Fade, Dance
