Olympic Torch Relay
The Olympic Flame will be visiting Allerdale on 21 June 2012 and
will pass through Wigton, Aspatria, Maryport, Flimby,
Workington, Cockermouth and Keswick.
Street level route announced
The streets along which the Olympic flame will
travel down in Allerdale and the names of the torchbearers have
been revealed.

include:
- Every street along which
Torchbearers will be carrying the Olympic Flame. The map will also
show where Torchbearing finishes so people will know where it
moves to convoy mode
- The time LOCOG expects to
start Torch bearing in each community
- The alternative modes of
transport used to carry the Flame
A selection of alternative modes of transport and photo
opportunity locations will also feature on the website and
will be added to the map over the coming weeks
For the confirmed Torchbearers the
map will also profile the Torchbearer name, age and community the
Torchbearer is running in.
LOCOG also plans to showcase a selection of
inspirational nomination stories and will continue to upload these
from March onwards to build interest in the Olympic Torch
Relay.
