Cockermouth Leisure Centre
Cockermouth Leisure Centre and pool is operated and managed by
Carlisle Leisure
Limited (CLL). It is a small but busy facility offering a
range of activities for all ages and abilities. Facilities include
a 25 metre pool, sports hall, fitness suite, spinning studio,
activity studio, climbing wall and meeting rooms to hire.

A
Leisure Access membership card is available, which enables
qualifying Allerdale residents to receive a 50% discount on
pay-per-visit activities. Application forms are available from the
centre or can be
downloaded.
Activities available
- A variety of swimming sessions - including
general swim, adults only, parent and toddler, aqua-fit,
Cockermouth swimming club, 50+, Masters training, inflatables and
more
- Swimming lessons for adults and children
(including junior life-saving)
- Exercise to music/fitness – including
spinning, aerobics, circuits, Urban Rebound, Pilates, Aqua
Zumba, Yoga, Kettlercise, Body weight burn, fitness
boxing and more
- Personal coaching sessions in the fitness
centre
- Children’s party hire – swimming, football,
bouncy castle, multi-sports
- A variety of children’s activities –
including junior sports courses, football courses, climbing,
gymnastics, Sky High activity camp (half term) and more
- Hire of facilities including badminton and
squash courts
- Archery instruction.

Admissions policy for junior swimmers
Please note, for safety reasons, all
children under 8 years must be accompanied in the water by an
adult at all times. One adult can supervise two children
aged 4 to 7 years. Children under 4 years must be
accompanied on a one-to-one basis.
Fab and fifty programme
The Fab and Fifty programme is available every
Tuesday at the centre for those aged 50+. For just £3, there is a
full programme of events to choose from throughout the day (9.30am
to 3.30pm) including circuits, Ab Attack, badminton, spinning, Tai
Chi, swimming, table tennis and bowls. For details of the latest

Improvements 
Carlisle Leisure Limited, in partnership with Allerdale Borough
Council, continue to make improvements at the centre. Improvements
are funded by business rates relief which Carlisle Leisure
Limited is able to achieve due to having charitable trust
status.
