Getting it right for your club
We all want to make sure that all our clubs are well organised,
safe and inclusive to all the community. So, if you are going for
Club Mark Accreditation, or would just like to make sure you club
has all the right policies, paperwork and procedures in place,
and would like some help with anything from a Child Protection
Policy, to setting up a Bank Account, CASC or task
descriptions for your volunteers then you can download everything
you'll need to help you from the Active
Cumbria Website. They have drafts and templates for
all the resources you will need.
Running Sports
Running Sports is an
organisation created and funded through Sport England to "support
sports volunteers and the people who manage them, and do everything
in our power to make sure clubs not only survive, but also grow and
thrive".
On their website they offer loads of advice on running,
promoting, funding and volunteering in clubs. From their home page
they have downloadable 'top tips' which are really helpful along
with case studies from other clubs who have delivered successful
projects to help them develop. You can also become a network
member, which is free of charge and lets you access more great
information about planning for the future, effective communication
and fundraising as well as many more 'Quick Guides' and a 'Club
Focus' area.
Really worth a look if you are in need of some quick advice! You
can access it all on the Running
Sports website.
