Keswick Leisure Pool and Fitness
Centre
Please note that the swimming pool will be closed for
essential maintenance from Wednesday 4 January to Friday 10
February. The gym will be open as normal.
A new timetable will be available shortly.
The summer activity programme Multi Use Games Area
(MUGA) in Fitz Park is also available to view.
Keswick Leisure Pool and Fitness Centre is now operated and
managed by Carlisle Leisure Ltd and offers a
unique leisure experience in Allerdale.
With its warm waters, wave machine and 'black hole' flume there
is fun for all the family.
There is also a fully equipped fitness suite for those wanting a
more strenuous workout and a pool side cafe which provides
hot & cold food throughout the day.
The pool offers many different activities including:
- General swimming (with flume & waves)
- Pool only (no flume or waves)
- Prime Time (exercise for older adults)
- Parent & Toddler (pre school children)
- Adults only (no flume or waves)
- Swimming lessons
- Pre School lessons
- Splash & Smile (children with disabilities & their
families)
- Family Fun (flume and toys)
- Aqua Fit
The pool also offers swimming lessons for both children and
adults and private hire sessions for groups.

Splash & Smile
Splash and Smile is a new session on Saturday
mornings from 10 to 11am in which children with disabilities and
their families are able to swim for just £1 (carers
are free) and use a range of equipment, including floating
toys, rafts, flotation stations and buoyancy jackets.
This session has proved very popular since it
commenced in January 2010 after a successful funding bid to
the Cumbria Community Foundation’s ‘Together we Can’ fund and
Cumbria Youth Alliance.
Keswick Leisure Pool is an accessible facility
with disabled shower, toilet and changing facilities. Large family
changing cubicles are also available. There is a pool access
chair for those requiring assistance when entering the water.

The Residents Leisure Access
Card enables residents of Allerdale to swim at Keswick
Leisure Pool at the low season price all year round. Application
forms are available from the pool or can be downloaded at the
bottom of this page. Please view the new admission policy for junior swimmers at

Keswick Museum and Art Gallery
School groups can now take
advantage of reduced entry to both Keswick Museum and Art Gallery
and Keswick Leisure Pool.

The Museum houses many interesting
artefacts such as:
- The Musical Stones of Skiddaw; a
1.5 tonne, 14 foot-long stone xylophone.
- A 665 year-old mummified cat.
- Napoleon's tea cup.
- Victorian roller blades.
