Allerdale Borough Council are continuing to develop exciting proposals for the regeneration of the lower Derwent Valley area of Workington, which will include a shared stadium for professional sports clubs, environmental enhancements of the area including the provision of cycle paths and footpaths and a new community leisure facility adjacent to the stadium.

The consultation process was designed to explore what will be included within the community facilities, rather than within the wider scheme and will assist in determining the mix of activities that will be available within the centre. All comments and suggestions received via the consultation process were examined and changes made to the proposals if necessary.

The plans and images from the consultation sessions held with Members of the Council, local sports clubs, Carlisle Leisure Ltd (which operates the Council's leisure facilities) and members of the public on the 7th and 8th of June are available to view and download below:
