Coach Education
Sports Coach UK
The Sports Development Unit works closely with
Sports Coach UK to deliver a number of courses to develop
coaches and volunteers and Sport England Running Sport
workshops that are aimed at local clubs and voluntary
organisations to enable them to develop their club/group,
raise coach awareness and share good practice within sport.
2008 - 2009 Allerdale, Carlisle and Copeland Coach
Education Programme
The courses planned for
2008-2009 is available to download at the bottom of the page.
The new programme includes Basketball courses, Safeguarding and
Protecting Children, Trampolining, Walk leaders and much, much
more.
Next Course in Allerdale:
Equity in Your Coaching, 3rd November, Workington
RUFC, Ellis Ground. Cost £5.
All places on courses must be booked in advance.
To book a place, simply contact the respective Development
Officer for an application form. Please note that the minimum
age requirement for all the above courses is 16. CLOSING DATE FOR
COURSES IS 1 WEEK PRIOR TO COURSE COMMENCE DATE (unless otherwise
stated).

Rugby League
Level 2 - 11th, 12th October, 2nd November and 7th
December 2008
Venue - Cumbria Sports Academy
Cost - £170 (funding may be available for subsidies)
Minimum age is 18 years

Football - Cumberland FA Courses
There are seven Level 1's (cost £80), one Level 2 (cost
£250) and one Level 3 set for 2008 taking place in different
