Parcs 2008!
Another summer over and another successful Parcs
scheme taken place. Although we went down to only 40 sessions
this summer, we still had over 650 young people participating in
sports and recreational activities in the open spaces in
Allerdale and we were lucky enough to have two sunny
weeks at the beginning of the holidays.
Most busiest sites were Hunters Drive in Seaton,
followed by Harris Park in Cockermouth and Silloth Green which all
had over 30 attending their open sessions. Popular activities this
year included Dodgeball, football and giant connect four!
Feedback from parents showed that 80% of them thought that
everything about the scheme was excellent.

Parcs 2007!!
The wet weather didn't dampen the spirits of the young people in
Allerdale this summer! In total we visited over 30 different sites
outdoors and held over 70 sessions and although there were times
were the rain had us beaten there were over 730 young
people that took part in the Parcs scheme enjoying sports like
rounders, cricket, football and tennis as well as
parachute games!
