Enforcement
On-street parking enforcement within the Allerdale area is the
responsibility of Allerdale Borough Council, acting on behalf of
Cumbria County Council (the Highway Authority). The Council
employs Civil Enforcement Officers to enforce all yellow
line and other parking restrictions throughout the Borough.
Streets are patrolled by Civil Enforcement Officers, employed by
the Authority. When they find a car that is parked in contravention
of the regulations, they will issue a Penalty Charge Notice
(PCN) from their hand-held computers
Any Cumbria County Council PCN which has been issued
on-street in the borough of Copeland can also be paid or
challenged through Allerdale Borough Council.
