The Get Safe Online campaign is a free public service which
provides independent expert advice to help individuals and small
businesses stay safe and secure when using the internet.
The campaign was launched in October 2005 as a joint initiative
between the British Government, the National Hi-Tech Crime Unit and
leading private sector businesses to help raise awareness of
internet security issues including viruses, spyware, phishing,
spam, fraud and other online threats.
Written in plain english and organised into handy categories,
including a top ten tips for beginners section, the Get Safe Online
website provides internet security information, advice and
solutions as well as many useful online safety tips that will
benefit a range of internet users.
