Consultation into proposals to re-establish a market in Cockermouth
We are currently consulting local people, businesses and groups about plans to reestablish a regular, outdoor market in Cockermouth.
The objective of an outdoor market in Cockermouth would be to provide a valuable local service to residents, provide an additional business opportunity for market traders, provide first time entrepreneurs with a low-cost option to trade and additional reasons for tourists to visit.
We're inviting comments from interested residents, businesses and visitors through an online survey. The deadline for responses is 5pm on Friday, June 25th, 2021. Click the button below to take part.
The council also runs markets in Keswick, Workington, Silloth and Wigton and any traders wanting further details about having a stall at them – or at a potential future Cockermouth market – should contact Markets Manager Phil Byers on firstname.lastname@example.org.
