Tourism and hospitality businesses across Cumbria are invited to attend an engaging and interactive Tourism Breakfast Briefing on 21 March 2023.

The half-day event starts at 9:30am and is set to finish at 12pm.

Held at The Old Fire Station in Carlisle and focussing on how each council is supporting the industry, the event will provide updates on how Allerdale Borough Council, Copeland Borough Council and Carlisle City Council are supporting the industry, with attendees learning from expert speakers through interactive sessions.

Following a free breakfast at 9:30AM, attendees will enjoy engaging presentations from expert speakers including, Adam Phillips from the Lake District National Park Authority, Rachel Bell from Lake District Estates, Katie Reed from Copeland Borough Council, Danni Armstrong from Allerdale Borough Council, Ben Heslop from Cumbria County Council, Paul Walker from Carlisle City Council, and Will Morgan from The Old Fire Station.

Allerdale Borough Council’s Leisure and Tourism Portfolio Holder, Councillor Tony Markley, said: “Following the success of last year’s Tourism Conference, the Tourism Breakfast Briefing aims to provide business owners with another fantastic opportunity to learn how they can benefit from the excellent initiatives being organised by Allerdale Borough Council, Copeland Borough Council, and Carlisle City Council.

“I would like to encourage businesses across Allerdale and further afield to register their attendance for the Tourism Breakfast Briefing and seize the opportunity to listen to several great presentations from a fantastic line-up of expert speakers, to network with their peers, and to better understand what local councils are doing to support them”.

The deadline for registration for the event is Sunday 19 March at 11:59PM.
