Residents are being reminded of changes to bin collections in Allerdale over the Easter period.

Collections will take place as normal on Good Friday (April 2, 2021) but there will be no collections on Easter Monday (April 5, 2021).

Therefore, collections in the week commencing April 5 will take place one day later than normal for example, collections due on Monday, April 5 will happen on Tuesday, April 6 and collections scheduled for Friday April, 9 will take place on Saturday, April 10.

Householders can check their collection days – and download a yearly calendar – on the council’s website at

Residents are also reminded that garden waste collections have now also resumed across the borough.
