Due to the bank holiday, there will be no collections on Monday 2 May.

Therefore, collections in the week commencing Monday, May 2 will take place one day later than normal. For example, collections due on Monday, May 2 will take place on Tuesday, May 3 and collections scheduled for Friday, May 6 will take place on Saturday, May 7.

Collections scheduled for week commencing May 9 will take place on the usual days.

Householders can check their collection day – and download a yearly calendar – on the council’s website at www.allerdale.gov.uk/bincollections. Missed bin collections can be reported at www.allerdale.gov.uk/en/report/report-missed-bin/.

Bins should be placed outside ready for emptying before 6am on the day of collection.
