Want to know which ward you are in or who your councillor is?
The My Property section of Allerdale Borough
Council's website is an easy way to find out this and other useful
information about your house. By entering your address or postcode,
the website not only tells you who your borough councillor is, with
links to their contact details, but also who your county councillor
is, what council tax band your property is in, the location of your
nearest recycling centre and whether your property is in a flood
zone.

Real nappies
Allerdale Borough Council, in partnership with Resource Cumbria, is
supporting the Cumbria Real Nappy Campaign. The campaign is an
incentive scheme which aims to encourage more Allerdale residents
to use real nappies on their babies by contributing to the cost of
purchasing the nappies.
